    The best way to set the course for tomorrow's transport is with a calm mind on a solid factual basis.

    Transport has always been an area of tension between the most diverse requirements and interests: Freedom of movement, economy based on the division of labour, land use, harmful environmental impacts, nature conservation, scarce resources and much more. As a microeconomist, such conflicting interests and different demands are a challenge and an incentive: as a society, we cannot avoid making conscious and sustainable decisions in this field of tension.
