Since September 2021, Intraplan has been working as the leader of a working group with ETR, Trimode and MWP on Part 2 of the 2040 transport forecast, the economic and transport development forecast. At a press conference on 24 October 2024, Federal Minister Dr. Volker Wissing presented the 2040 baseline forecast from this project, which describes the foreseeable path of transport development for the year 2040.
In addition to the economic forecast (ETR processing) and the freight transport forecast (Trimode), the presentation and the subsequent Q&A session focussed on the topics of passenger transport, air transport and the climate impact of transport, which were dealt with by Intraplan. The press conference was broadcast live by Phoenix and can be viewed on their website.
