The initial situation
Which concrete revenue claims result from the cross-provider acceptance of transport tariffs? – Here: the DB tariff in the sub-networks of Bayerische Regiobahn (BRB)
Bayerische Oberlandbahn is a rail transport operator of the Transdev Group that operates various route networks in Bavaria, including the Chiemgau-Inntal network (until 2019 referred to as Meridian) and Oberland. The DB tariff is applied on the trains, i.e. flex fares, saver fares and flat-rate tickets such as the Bayern-Ticket may be used on the trains. The application of the DB tariff results in revenue claims for the operator towards DB Regio AG, which are to be determined by means of a traffic survey.
Essential information on passenger demand, ticket use and revenue claims can be obtained by means of traffic surveys.
